Password Protect a page
Password protecting a page allows users with a certain user role or group access to your site. Users will need to enter their Texas State NetID and password in order to gain access to your site.
Password Protect Page
- Open the page you wish to password protect.
- Click Edit Page Properties from the menu on the right.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Select the group(s) you wish to give access to by placing a check in the box next to the group's title.
- Click Save Changes
Group Options for Restricting Page
|Faculty||All users designated as Faculty with the University will be able to access the page.|
|Staff||All users designated as Staff with the University will be able to access the page.|
|Student||All users designated as Student will be able to access the page.|
|Any NetID||All users with a valid Texas State NetID and password will be able to access the page.|
|Find/Add Group||This option allows you to grant access to the page for a specific group of users you designate. Groups can be requested through ITAC and are managed through the Online Toolkit. Complete the Security Group Request form and make sure to mention it is for Gato.|
